Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU/Step Down RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and a Maine or compact RN license.

• Active RN license (Maine or compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• PALS preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU and Step Down experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

• Work in an 8-bed ICU/Step Down unit
• Patient ratios of 1 nurse to 2-3 patients
• 12-hour night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Call requirements vary based on unit needs
• Float to MSU or other units as a resource, within a 25-mile radius between facilities
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Provide direct patient care to ICU and Step Down patients
• Solid-colored scrubs required, no prints allowed
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any Maine Health facility are considered local, which may affect pay rate
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for the 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at any Maine Health facility within the past 12 months must disclose this upon application
