Covered Rx is a digital health company focused on delivering fast, accessible, and patient-centred care through modern telemedicine workflows.
We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner in British Columbia to provide asynchronous (text-based) prescription review and management for low-acuity conditions.
This role is ideal for NPs looking for flexible, remote work with minimal scheduling constraints.
Responsibilities- Review patient-submitted medical questionnaires asynchronously
- Assess eligibility for treatment based on established clinical protocols
- Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate
- Identify cases requiring escalation to synchronous care or physician review
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
- Ensure adherence to BC clinical and regulatory standards
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in British Columbia (active and in good standing with BC College of Nurses and Midwives)
- Authorized to prescribe medications in BC
- Experience in primary care, telemedicine, or walk-in clinic settings preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and risk assessment skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, async environment
- Familiarity with digital health platforms is an asset
- Per-consult or hourly (to be discussed)
- Flexible workload (you control availability)
- Experience with telehealth or asynchronous care models
- Interest in digital health startups
- Experience with dermatology, sexual health, or minor acute conditions
All care delivery must comply with guidelines set by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives and applicable provincial regulations regarding virtual care and prescribing.
Pay: $41.27-$98.19 per hour
