Provide virtual nursing care from home through telephone triage, clinical assessment, and mental health crisis intervention for callers. Work within scheduled shifts.
Fonemed seeks experienced Registered Nurses for Newfoundland and Labrador’s 811 Health Line and Mental Health Crisis Line. You will use Schmitt-Thompson protocols, assess callers, provide nursing advice, and make independent clinical decisions. Calls vary in subject matter and complexity, requiring attentive listening and clear documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide telephone triage and timely medical advice to callers
- Support callers experiencing mental health, addictions, or crises
- Apply protocols and clinical judgment to determine appropriate care
- Complete confidential medical records according to documentation standards
- Give clear information and direction during patient encounters
- Graduate from a recognized School of Nursing
- Minimum two years recent triage or clinical experience
- Active CRNNL licensure or willingness to obtain licensure
- Comfort using telephone systems, software, and computer programs
- Availability for days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
