The Triage RN at Vail Health performs care coordination and professional nursing functions to assess the severity of patients' health concerns using protocols and algorithms, directing dispositions to emergency care, urgent care, and/or clinic visits. The RN also supports providers in triaging calls and portal messages within the licensed scope.
Responsibilities include documenting assessments in the EHR, scheduling same-day and future appointments, and participating in CPC+ care coordination
