Position: Wildlife Field Biologist at Jacobs
Be part of Jacobs as a Junior Wildlife Field Biologist, where you'll conduct essential wildlife surveys across scenic Western Canada. Enjoy hands-on fieldwork while supporting environmental projects.

Working from Burnaby, Calgary, or Edmonton, this role involves significant field exposure, approximately 80% of your time spent surveying. You will participate in planning and permitting efforts for both private and government projects, collaborating with various specialists. A self-motivated attitude and a passion for wildlife are crucial to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and support wildlife surveys in the field

• Aid in environmental project planning and compliance

• Provide wildlife biology technical direction and support

• Maintain high safety standards and utilize PPE as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum degree or diploma in biology or environmental sciences

• Previous field work experience in outdoor settings

• Comfortable with remote work for extended periods

• Strong interest in wildlife identification skills

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
