Position: Utility Forest Technician Hybrid Role
Location: Martensville

Enhance utility vegetation management with Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada as a Hybrid Utility Forest Technician. Leverage your forestry expertise to optimize tree clearing and vegetation prescriptions.

In this full-time role, you will develop vegetation management workloads and prescriptions tailored for utility companies' needs. With more than three years of experience in forestry or vegetation management, you will address tree clearing and mechanical control methods while ensuring system reliability. Your knowledge will be critical in the assessment and execution of GIS plans for vegetation control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and assess tree cover along rights-of-way

• Create schedules for tree clearing and control methods

• Compile operational plans in GIS systems

• Liaise with stakeholders and contractors effectively

• Conduct site audits to verify adherence to plans

Requirements:

• Preferred degree or diploma in forestry or related field

• 3+ years of related field experience

• ISA Certified Arborist or equivalents in arboriculture

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Willingness to travel throughout Canada
