Summary
We're looking for a part-time Assistant Land Use & Nature Delivery Partner to join our team in the London & South East region, and support nature-recovery work.
You'll join the Restore Nature Specialist Delivery team during an exciting period as we implement our “People and Nature Thriving” strategy, which aims to create 250,000 hectares of nature-rich habitat across and beyond National Trust land.
This is a permanent role, working 15 hours per week.
What it's like to work hereWe're a charity founded in 1895 by three people who saw the importance of our nation's heritage and open spaces, and wanted to preserve them for everyone to enjoy. Over 100 years later these values are still at the heart of everything we do.
Working as part of a region-wide, integrated delivery team, you can make a positive difference to some of our 30,000 hectares of land in our London & South East region. The region includes some of our most valuable landscapes, coastlines and species, offering significant opportunities for nature recovery.
As this role covers the LSE region, your contractual place of work will be the nearest regional office to your home.
Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40-60% of your working week.
What you'll be doingWorking alongside the Land Use & Nature Specialist Delivery Partners, you’ll provide specialist land management advice to restore nature at a landscape scale.
You’ll be working closely with your specialist delivery and operational colleagues to plan and deliver the best outcomes for nature, supporting those adopting low carbon and nature friendly farming alongside habitat creation and restoration to deliver our Restore Nature goals.
You may also represent the National Trust in regional collaborations and use your network of partners and contractors to support large-scale restoration.
Who we're looking for:- Experience delivering nature recovery across varied habitats.
- Knowledge and experience of ecology, agro-ecology and nature-friendly farming systems.
- Confident communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire and build trust.
- Solid knowledge of the UK conservation policy and funding landscape.
- Ability to translate ambitious goals into practical, high impact delivery.
