Banbury

£29,362 - £30,908 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

We are looking to recruit a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join our Estate Services team, based in Banbury. You will work within a small team of 2 and be responsible for the maintenance of communal grounds including grass cutting, trimming hedges and weeding flower beds, and you will cover various sites within an hour of Banbury. It will be your responsibility to ensure the grounds look presentable for any visitors.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of all tools and equipment.

• Providing supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean
• Using equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and the manufacturer’s guidance
• Carrying out all hazardous tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations

• Pesticide Application Certificate PA1 – PA6 (or equivalent)
• NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture or similar discipline
• Recent experience of working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential
• Some experience of supervising others
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
