Our client is seeking an accomplished and visionary Lead Pharmaceutical Formulations Specialist to spearhead their drug formulation initiatives in a completely remote capacity. You will lead a team of formulation scientists, driving projects from conceptualization through to clinical development, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to regulatory standards.

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of novel pharmaceutical formulations for oral, parenteral, and topical delivery systems.
• Oversee and mentor a team of formulation scientists, providing technical direction and fostering a culture of innovation and scientific rigor.
• Develop and execute comprehensive experimental plans for pre-formulation studies, stability testing, and scale-up activities.
• Ensure all formulation activities comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and relevant regulatory guidelines (FDA, EMA, SAHPRA).
• Collaborate closely with analytical development, process chemistry, and regulatory affairs teams to ensure successful product development.
• Present research findings and project updates to senior management and cross-functional teams.

• Master's or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, with a proven track record of successfully developing and launching products.
• Expertise in various dosage forms, including tablets, capsules, injectables, and controlled-release systems.
• In-depth knowledge of cGMP regulations, ICH guidelines, and drug product development processes.
• Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
