Remote Facilities Hygiene Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategically minded Remote Facilities Hygiene Manager to oversee the hygiene and sanitation standards across their portfolio of properties. Operating remotely from anywhere within South Africa , you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive hygiene programs that ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams and contractors virtually.

You will be instrumental in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all stakeholders, driving best practices in sanitation from a distance.

• Develop and implement robust hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures across all company facilities.
• Conduct remote audits and assessments of hygiene standards, identifying areas for improvement and potential risks.
• Manage relationships with third-party cleaning service providers, ensuring contract adherence and quality delivery.
• Analyze performance data and generate reports on hygiene metrics, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the procurement and management of cleaning supplies and equipment, optimizing for cost and effectiveness.
• Provide expert guidance and training remotely to facility managers and on-site teams on best hygiene practices.

• Significant experience in facilities management, sanitation, or environmental health, with a focus on hygiene protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement large-scale hygiene programs and policies.
• Proficiency in using remote management tools, data analysis software, and communication platforms.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, effective in a virtual setting.
• Strong understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
