Formulation Scientist - Remote

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a talented and innovative Formulation Scientist to join their drug development team, working entirely remotely. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and optimizing drug delivery systems and dosage forms for novel pharmaceutical compounds. You will leverage your expertise in pharmaceutics, chemistry, and materials science to create effective, stable, and patient-friendly formulations. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver, adept at working independently in a virtual setting, and passionate about advancing drug product development from concept to clinical trial readiness within the pharmaceutical industry .

• Design and develop various dosage forms (e.g., oral solids, injectables, topicals) for small molecules and biologics.
• Conduct pre-formulation studies, including solubility, stability, and compatibility assessments.
• Utilize various formulation techniques and excipients to achieve desired drug release profiles and bioavailability.
• Prepare and characterize prototype formulations, conduct stability studies, and interpret results.
• Collaborate with analytical, DMPK, and manufacturing teams in a remote R&D environment.
• Troubleshoot formulation challenges and optimize processes for scale-up.

• PhD or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Strong understanding of drug delivery systems, excipient science, and dosage form design.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment used in formulation development and characterization.
• Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills, with a strong scientific writing ability.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote work environment.
