About the Role
Our client is searching for a knowledgeable and proactive Hygiene and Sanitation Officer to remotely oversee and enhance their sanitation standards, potentially across multiple locations including Soweto. This critical role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring hygiene protocols to ensure a safe and compliant environment. The successful candidate will work closely with site managers and cleaning teams to conduct audits, provide training, and drive continuous improvement in sanitation practices.

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular remote audits and assessments of cleaning standards and practices at various sites.
- Provide guidance and training to on-site staff and management on best hygiene practices.
- Investigate and report on hygiene-related incidents, recommending corrective actions.
- Stay abreast of relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations and ensure compliance.
- Manage inventory and procurement of approved cleaning and sanitation supplies.
- Significant experience in hygiene, sanitation, or a related field, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective sanitation programs.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills, essential for remote oversight.
- Experience with auditing and training is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively in a remote setting.
