Remote Sanitation Compliance Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Sanitation Compliance Officer to join their organization, operating from anywhere within South Africa . In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing sanitation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all company sites. You will leverage technology to conduct virtual inspections, analyze data, and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Develop and update sanitation protocols and compliance checklists in line with current health regulations.
• Conduct remote audits and virtual inspections of facilities using provided tools and documentation.
• Analyze sanitation data and inspection reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Train and guide site‑specific personnel on proper sanitation practices and compliance requirements.
• Investigate sanitation‑related incidents or complaints and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of all compliance activities and generate regular reports for management.

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, or a related field is advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sanitation management, compliance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of South African health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for data analysis, reporting, and virtual communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
