About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly motivated and innovative Formulation Scientist to join their remote-first Pharmaceutical Development team. This role will focus on the design, development, and optimization of novel drug formulations for various dosage forms. You will leverage your deep understanding of pharmaceutical sciences to create stable, effective, and patient-friendly drug products. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with project teams, external partners, and analytical development specialists to translate early-stage drug candidates into viable pharmaceutical formulations, contributing to the development pipeline from a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop innovative drug formulations for oral, injectable, and topical dosage forms.
- Conduct pre-formulation studies, including solubility, stability, and compatibility assessments.
- Optimize formulations for desired pharmacokinetic profiles, manufacturability, and patient compliance.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for characterization and quality control of formulations.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, development summaries, and regulatory submission documents.
- Stay current with advancements in formulation science, drug delivery technologies, and relevant scientific literature.
- PhD or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, with a strong understanding of various dosage forms.
- Expertise in pre-formulation, formulation design, and process development.
- Proficiency with laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation for formulation characterization.
- Experience in preparing documentation for regulatory filings is a plus.
