Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Formulation Scientist to join their advanced research and development division, working remotely with occasional travel needs. This key position will focus on the design, development, and optimization of novel drug delivery systems and formulations for a diverse portfolio of pharmaceutical products. You will leverage your deep scientific expertise to solve complex formulation challenges, driving projects from early-stage research through to preclinical development.

- Design and execute experimental plans for the development of new pharmaceutical formulations (e.g., oral, injectable, topical).
- Optimize formulations for improved stability, bioavailability, and manufacturability.
- Characterize drug substances and excipients, and evaluate their compatibility.
- Utilize various laboratory techniques and equipment for formulation development and analysis.
- Collaborate with analytical development, process engineering, and regulatory affairs teams.
- Troubleshoot formulation issues and propose viable solutions.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
- Expertise in various drug delivery technologies and dosage forms.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and analytical methods relevant to formulation science.
- Strong understanding of pre-formulation, solubility enhancement, and stability testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
