Senior Formulation Scientist - Pharmaceuticals

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Formulation Scientist to lead drug product development efforts in a remote capacity. This role is critical for designing and optimizing novel pharmaceutical formulations that ensure the safety, efficacy, and stability of our drug candidates. You will work on diverse projects, leveraging your expertise in pre-formulation, formulation development, and process scale-up to bring innovative therapies to patients.

As a key member of our R&D team, you will collaborate with researchers globally, contributing your scientific acumen to advance our drug pipeline from discovery through to manufacturing readiness, all within a supportive and technologically advanced virtual environment.

• Lead the formulation development of new pharmaceutical products, including oral solids, injectables, and topical dosage forms.
• Conduct pre-formulation studies, physicochemical characterization, and stability testing of drug substances and products.
• Design and execute experimental plans for formulation optimization, excipient screening, and process development.
• Utilize advanced analytical techniques to characterize formulations and evaluate drug product performance.
• Collaborate with analytical development, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs teams to ensure successful product development and technology transfer.
• Troubleshoot formulation and process-related issues and propose innovative solutions.

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Expertise in various dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules, parenteral products).
• Proficiency with formulation development equipment and analytical instruments.
• Strong understanding of drug delivery principles, biopharmaceutics, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.
