Advance pharmaceutical formulation development remotely using drug delivery expertise and analytical characterization techniques across innovative dosage forms. Independent research supports therapeutic development.
This Pharmaceutical Research Scientist focuses on formulation development within a pharmaceutical research and development organization. The work spans oral solids, injectables, and topical products, combining pre-formulation studies, formulation screening, stability testing, and scale-up. Collaboration includes medicinal chemistry, DMPK, process development, and analytical development teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and optimize novel pharmaceutical formulations across dosage forms
- Conduct physicochemical characterization of drug substances and excipients
- Perform screening, stability testing, and scale-up studies
- Apply analytical techniques to assess drug product performance
- Prepare research reports and technical regulatory documentation
- Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmaceutics, chemistry, or related discipline
- At least six years post-Ph.D. formulation development experience
- Understanding of drug delivery, excipient science, and dosage design
- Proficiency with DSC, TGA, XRD, particle size, and dissolution testing
- Ability to work independently and manage remote projects effectively
