Essential Duties and Responsibilities Audit Coordination
  • Confirm audit date and time with client
  • Prepare and send client audit plan according to protocols
  • Book travel, hotel and transportation according to company policy, and submit expense reports
Audit Services
  • Travel to client sites and conduct food safety audits following scheme and Certification Body requirements. Audits include onsite inspections and documentation review while assessing compliance.
  • Write detailed audit reports and review corrective actions within established time frames.
  • Regardless of prior auditing experience, additional training will be required. As an employee of the Certification Body, these trainings are fully funded by Primus Auditing Ops. Adhere to all quality and code of conduct standards
  • Conduct audits using applicable checklists, forms, and tools
  • Maintain positive client relationships and respond to all client inquiries and concerns
  • Submit complete and accurate audit reports within established timelines
  • Ensure thorough client records are maintained
Program Quality and Compliance
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Qualifications
  • Degree in food, agriculture or bioscience related discipline (such as Agronomy, Agribusiness, Biology, Biochemistry, Food Science or similar that is subject to review and approval by management.)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the agriculture and/or food industry and at least 2 years of working experience specifically in quality assurance and/or food safety. Ideal candidate will have experience at the field and facility level for fresh and minimally processed produce at a technical management level.
  • Outstanding communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills.
  • Highly organized and easily adaptable to a fast-paced work environment with a proven ability to complete work within established time frames
  • A willingness to travel up to 75% of the time throughout the United States.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) with fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in both languages a plus!
  • Ability to work in and navigate a wide range of environments including agricultural fields, facilities with extreme environments (high heat or cold conditions), chemical storage areas, etc.
