Desktop Utility Inspector

Location: Remote (eligible to work from home)

This role requires attention to detail and the ability to use various computer systems and programs to perform the work. Specialized training will be provided.

• Review video and photographs received from aerial drones.
• Collaborate with internal and external Inspectors on inspection review questions.
• Use computer systems and programs to inspect distribution power poles.
• Inspect for visual pole integrity, asset management data discrepancies (including GPS location), cross‑arm angle and integrity, joint pole cable management, signage, vegetation clearance, insulator integrity, and guy‑wire integrity.

• 4+ years of combined experience in one or more of the following roles:
  • Journeyman Lineman (preferably distribution), substation journeyman electrician, journeyman electrical technician, or similar role;
  • Electrical Engineer or similar;
  • Distribution line (D‑line) inspector or similar.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical, and strong communication skills.
• General understanding of the utility business.

$33 – $48 per hour DOE.
