Junior QA Tester

In this entry‑level position, you will:

• Execute test cases across various platforms and environments
• Identify, document, and report software defects
• Collaborate with developers and analysts to resolve issues
• Help maintain high‑quality standards for all deliverables

Full time hours: 35 per week

Office location:
Hull – remote work with some travel to the Hull office (must be UK based, and within a commutable distance)

Salary: £25,000 per annum, plus benefits package including access to free eyecare vouchers, health cover, life assurance and more.

• Identify Test target, Identify Test ideas
• Define test details, assessment and traceability needs
• Determine test (Expected) results
• Structure the test implementation
• Define testability elements
• Implement Tests and Test Suites
• Execute Test Suite
• Analyse Test Failure
• Report Defects and Test outcomes
• Follow the processes and procedures within the team and department

Qualifications:

• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate (desirable)
• Computer Science or IT degree (desirable)

• Good knowledge of MS Office products

• 1 to 2 years testing experience (Manual or Automation) and/or Experience of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) / Post Implementation Testing

• Quick learner able to grasp complex domain concepts
• Methodical and organised
• Team player with good communication skills
• A challenging and enquiring mind
• Attention to detail and tenacity
• Technical Focus – able to apply sound system engineering principles
• Analytical skills; analysing problems and recommending solutions
• Demonstrate the ability to convey information clearly, accurately and convincingly through speech and in writing. Must demonstrate a high level of listening skills, tact, and diplomacy.
• Receptive to the need for change and adaptable to changing work demands and conditions.
• Demonstrates awareness of importance of issues related to legal, compliance and procedural adherence and commitment to achieving required standards.
