Job Description

As a QP, your tasks will include approving batches for sale and assessing deviations and changes. You will be responsible for quality assurance activities in your area, such as product quality reviews and document approvals. You will work in close co‑operation with supply chain, quality control and product lifecycle management organizations and external contract manufacturers. You will participate operations development. Your workplace is located either at Orion’s Espoo, Salo or Turku plant.

You can work part of the time remotely according to our hybrid model.

As a QP, your tasks include approving batches for sale, assessing deviations and changes, and overseeing quality assurance activities such as product quality reviews and document approvals. You will collaborate closely with supply chain, quality control, product lifecycle management, and external contract manufacturers, and participate in operations development. Your workplace may be at Orion’s Espoo, Salo, or Turku plant, with hybrid remote work options.

• Master’s degree in pharmacy or another suitable higher education degree (e.g. a degree in pharmacy supplemented with specialization studies in industrial pharmacy) to meet qualification requirements for a QP as listed in EU Directive 2001/83/EC
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in drug production, quality assurance or quality control
• Good knowledge of GMP
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strong self‑management abilities, proactive ownership of responsibilities, and effective workload organization
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and in English
• Flexibility to learn new skills and take on new tasks and responsibilities
• Previous experience working as a QP is considered an advantage

Quality Management (QM) is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials, products and operations, as well as maintaining and developing the quality system and monitoring the regulatory environment. Pharmacovigilance & Patient Safety unit is responsible for the global pharmacovigilance system of Orion Corporation and for the continuous safety surveillance, regulatory reporting and safety risk management activities of human and veterinary medicinal and non‑medicinal products.

The QM function consists of about 350 experts who work in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality System, Method Development and the Pharmacovigilance & Drug safety unit. We are located in Espoo, Turku, Salo and Kuopio plants, in addition to the Quality Assurance team in India reporting dotted‑line to QM.
