Senior Footwear Technologist

Job Overview

I'm delighted to partner with a leading high‑street footwear brand that is looking for a senior footwear technologist (technologist level also acceptable). The role is hybrid: four days in the office and one day from home, with the option to work part‑time (3–4 days in the office, salary pro‑rated). The brand’s concept is catwalk‑inspired, trend‑responsive and statement‑led, aiming to make the shoe a central part of the outfit.

It is edgy, contemporary, and confident.

Oversee all of the brand’s own‑brand women’s footwear. Manage product quality and fit ownership, ensuring items meet quality standards before production and sale. Set and review technical standards for materials, construction, fit and performance. Monitor customer returns and satisfaction, and liaise with warehouse quality inspection teams. Provide training and education to other teams on quality and fit standards.

Experience in women’s footwear, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and factories. Familiarity with UK and international footwear regulations. Experience liaising with warehouse quality inspection teams and training other teams on quality and fit standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage customer return data.

Salary up to £51,000, depending on experience. Employee discount, pension scheme, and enhanced maternity leave. Hybrid role with five days a week, four days in the office and one day working from home.

Hybrid: office located in central London. Regular hours with option for part‑time arrangement.
