An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Quality Control Assistant to join our Pharmacy team.

• Manage Quality Control services for the Aseptic Dispensing and Pre-Packing Medicines activities.
• Inspect Unlicensed Medicines received by the Trust.
• Conduct operational activities within the Quality Control Section, including environmental monitoring, document control and validation of equipment to ensure medicines are manufactured safely and efficiently.
• Support the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles across the pharmacy team.

• Experience of quality control and quality assurance (equivalent to NVQ level
  3).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge within a specialism of QC.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical/production processes.
• Basic understanding of GMP principles.

• GCSE Science, Maths and English Grade C or equivalent.
• Qualification e.g. NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Science or Quality Assurance.

• Able to complete documentation accurately with attention to detail.
• Able to follow written procedures.
• Able to work alone and in a team.
• Able to work to deadlines.
• Interest in technical aspects of Quality Control.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety at work.
• Experience of product checking or associated quality control/assurance practices.
• Experience of working in a GMP environment.
