What you’ll do:
Represent the audit team and Intertek to clientsDevelop Audit PlansPlan and coordinate travel plans for audits as applicableEvaluate clients' management systems through documentation review, on-site observation, and interviewsIdentify and document areas of conformance and nonconformanceWrite Comprehensive reports and recommendations based on audit findingsEvaluate and approve client corrective actionsSubmit time and expense reports on time, for approvalTrain, mentor, and witness (as part of the auditor qualification process) audit teammates if requested.Follow Intertek's Compliance Code, Policies and Procedures·
What it takes to be successful in this role:
Education and advanced course work, training and experience in environmental, safety and quality management required.
5+ years of professional experience in industry
Language requirements, proficiency in spoken and written English.Knowledge of principles and practices of manufacturing systemsKnowledge of EMS/OHS laws and regulationsExperience in implementation of and/or auditing ISO management systemsAbility to travel 75% of the time by plane or carValid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)Must have ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Training3rd Party Auditing experience preferredThis is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in Canada.Physical Requirements:
Ability to communicate and interact effectively in both verbal and written format.Ability to view, read and comprehend a variety of reports and manuals of a technical nature, computer screen, etc.Physical dexterity to perform assessment functions which are inherent to the position, such as investigating all areas of client facilities which require bending/stooping, reaching, climbing, etc.Mobility to travel by auto and airplane.Ability to be on your feet, walking, for typical full shifts of 6 - 8 hours.Exposure to various industrial environments.The ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.The ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. Must be able to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.The ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations sound.The ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.Salary & Benefits Information
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
