QA Lead​/Test Lead – FTC

This is a newly created position for a QA Lead / Lead Tester to take an instrumental position within a growing SME. This role paying circa £60,000 pro rata and is a 6 month FTC with the likelihood of extensions. This role can be predominantly work from home, but you must be able and willing to come into the Bishops Stortford HQ as & when if requested.

My client is looking for a QA Lead to shape and drive quality assurance across our innovative bespoke product suite and client-facing technology platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced QA professional to combine strategic leadership with hands‑on technical expertise in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

As QA Lead, you will define and deliver the QA strategy, champion a quality‑first culture, and work closely with Product, Development and Leadership teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. You'll also lead and mentor QA team members, helping to develop capability while influencing quality standards across the wider business.

• Hands on experience with automation testing, UAT & regression testing
• Owning and evolving the QA strategy, standards and frameworks
• Leading test automation initiatives and CI/CD quality integration
• Managing the full testing lifecycle across multiple product work streams
• Acting as the key quality authority for releases and product decisions
• Mentoring and developing QA team members
• Driving continuous improvement through metrics, reporting and best practice adoption
• Collaborating with Product Managers, Developers and stakeholders to improve delivery quality

To be considered for this 6 month FTC you will have strong experience in both manual and automated testing, proven leadership or mentoring capability, and expertise with tools such as Selenium, Playwright or Cypress, and associated scripting languages.
