Senior Quality Assurance Engineer | Durban (Hybrid)

Shiloh Destiny Industries is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to help us deliver reliable, high-quality software to our customers.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Durban (with flexibility for partial remote work). You’ll own test strategy and execution across multiple software projects — from planning and designing test cases to validating functional and non‑functional requirements, documenting defects, and working closely with developers and product teams to resolve issues. Beyond hands‑on testing, you’ll help shape and improve our QA processes, mentor junior QA team members, and ensure every release meets our quality bar and timelines.

We’re looking for someone who communicates proactively, documents carefully, and thinks ahead about risk throughout the testing lifecycle.

• Strong background in software testing & QA, with experience defining and enforcing quality standards
• Hands‑on expertise in test execution, and creating/maintaining/optimizing test cases
• Proficiency in manual testing — functional, regression, integration, and UAT
• Experience with test management/defect tracking tools (Jira, Test Rail, or similar)
• Strong ability to analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and estimate testing effort
• Comfort collaborating cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills, with real attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication, for both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Prior experience in a senior/lead QA role, including mentoring other QA professionals, is a strong plus
