An exciting new opportunity to join a highly respected Early Years training provider based in Birmingham. We're looking for an experienced Early Years IQA to help drive excellence in assessment and quality assurance across apprenticeships and qualification delivery.

Salary - £30k
Location - Hybrid, office-based

What you will be doing

The IQA Quality Assurer role is a full-time hybrid position based in Birmingham, with the option to work from home for part of the week. The role involves planning and carrying out internal quality assurance activities for childcare apprenticeship programs, including sampling learner work, reviewing assessment decisions, and ensuring compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirements. The IQA Quality Assurer will monitor assessor performance, provide constructive feedback, and support standardisation meetings to maintain consistent assessment practices.

Day-to-day responsibilities include analysing quality data, preparing reports, collaborating with trainers and assessors to drive improvements, and contributing to the continuous enhancement of apprenticeship delivery. The role also involves clear communication with internal teams and external partners to uphold best practices and high standards across all programs.

What you need

  • Relevant IQA or internal quality assurance qualification (e.g., Level 4 IQA) and experience in Early Years apprenticeships or vocational training quality assurance.
  • Early Years qualification - minimum Level 3
  • Candidates should possess strong Quality Assurance and Quality Control skills to maintain consistent standards across apprenticeship programs.
  • Candidates should possess Quality Auditing skills, including the ability to conduct systematic reviews of assessment processes and documentation.
  • Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend evidence-based improvements.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to provide feedback, lead standardisation activities, and collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of childcare or education sector standards, awarding body requirements, and regulatory frameworks is required.
  • Ability to manage workload independently, work effectively in a hybrid environment, and travel to employer and training sites when required.
