About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Automotive Quality Engineer to join their remote quality assurance team, supporting operations in the Sandton area. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control plans, analyzing defect data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans for automotive components and assemblies.
• Analyze product defect data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and lead cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
• Perform internal audits and supplier quality assessments remotely.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality engineering within the automotive industry.
• In-depth knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA).
• Experience with quality management systems (e.g., IATF 16949).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
