A well-established food business supplying both branded and retailer own-label products into all major UK retailers. Products are manufactured within the company's European production sites, primarily in France, and imported into the UK market. The London office is commercially focused, with no manufacturing on site.

About the Senior Specifications Technologist job

As Senior Specifications Technologist you will be responsible for providing competent and efficient quality support, food safety and legal compliance, effective working with both internal and external stakeholders. This role is pivotal in client engagement and affairs ensuring seamless operations; OL and branded product launches, and cross functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Key tasks

Be responsible of the day-to-day operations of UK retailer account(s) plus coordinate and execute tasks required to enable successful product launches.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customer and manufacturing sites.

Understanding and working knowledge of food labelling with UK retailers’ specifications and artworks ensuring approvals, labelling and quality aspects are completed in compliance with relevant standards, regulations and in timely manner.

Support site audits when needed either in person or remotely. Assist in onboarding of new suppliers, sites and warehouses.

About You

A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience of retailer food specifications is essential.

Hands-on experience using at least one major retailer specification portal (such as Tesco TQC, Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury's, Asda, etc.).
Strong knowledge of food regulatory compliance and labelling requirements.
Experience managing artwork approvals and specifications.
Excellent communication skills and confidence when dealing with customers.
The ability to work independently and manage their workload effectively.

It would be great if you have French language skills and also a full UK driver’s licence, although not vital.

The Senior Specifications Technologist job () is based in London and is paying up to c. £45,000 according to your experience.

The working hours are hybrid - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the office, Monday & Friday WFH.
