Role
Title:
QA & Source Inspection Specialist
Role Type: Contractor
Location: Remote
We are looking for experienced QA & Source Inspection professionals to support an AI training project across aerospace, defense, and marine sectors. You'll apply your inspection expertise to evaluate quality scenarios, review documentation, and provide accurate technical judgments. AI experience is not required.
Scope of Work- Evaluate First Article Inspections (AS9102) for compliance.
- Assess cosmetic defects and provide acceptance or rejection decisions.
- Review hull and marine inspection documentation and data.
- Analyze web/line inspection information and identify quality trends.
- Apply DCMA and FAR Part 46 requirements to inspection scenarios.
- Provide clear technical feedback and inspection findings.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting decisions and rationale.
- 8+ years of experience in quality inspection, QA, or source inspection.
- Strong knowledge of AS9102 and government inspection requirements.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or marine surveying.
- Expertise in hull and marine survey processes.
- Experience with First Article, cosmetic defect, or production-line inspections.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with documentation and remote collaboration tools.
- Experience as a Senior QA Inspector, Supplier Quality Engineer, DCMA QAR, or Marine Surveyor is preferred.
