- Analyze and interpret radiographic images (RT), ultrasonic scans (UT/PAUT), and magnetic particle (MT) or penetrant (PT) test indications.
- Review authentic inspection data and provide meticulous written and verbal evaluations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Apply advanced knowledge of weld defect acceptance criteria to make disposition recommendations on flaws and indications found in welds and components.
- Evaluate thermographic imagery or remote visual inspection (RVI) footage as needed, contributing expert judgement to diverse inspection scenarios.
- Produce clear, concise, and technically accurate reports that document findings, rationale, and recommended actions.
- Collaborate asynchronously with technical peers to resolve complex or ambiguous indications, enhancing overall project accuracy and reliability.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project protocols based on industry best practices and evolving compliance criteria.
- Active ASNT or ISO 9712 NDT Level II/III certification in relevant methods (RT, UT/PAUT, MT, PT).
- Have strong relevant experience directly interpreting radiographs, ultrasonic/PAUT scans, MT/PT indications, and related NDT data in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.
- Thorough working knowledge of US and international codes and standards (ASME Section V, VIII, XI; API 510/570/653; API 1104; AWS D1.1).
- Expertise in making nuanced accept/reject determinations according to code-based acceptance criteria.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in authoring detailed technical documentation and delivering feedback to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct objective, quality-focused work independently in a remote setting.
- Experience evaluating thermography or RVI data is a plus.
