Remote Construction Quality Assurance Manager

Our client, a national construction and development group, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Construction Quality Assurance Manager to ensure the highest standards are maintained across all their projects nationwide. Operating entirely remotely, you will leverage technology to monitor, assess, and report on the quality of construction activities without being physically present on any specific site. This role requires a deep understanding of construction quality management systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to project teams and senior management.

• Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive remote quality assurance program for construction projects.
• Utilize digital tools, including video conferencing, drone footage analysis, and project management software, to monitor site quality.
• Review and analyze on-site inspection reports, testing results, and photographic evidence to assess compliance with standards.
• Identify non-conformance issues, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and deliver remote training modules on quality standards and best practices to site teams.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to ensure quality objectives are met.
• Prepare detailed quality assurance reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for senior management.
• Conduct virtual audits of project documentation and site processes.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, new materials, and quality control technologies.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction quality assurance or quality control, with a significant portion in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing QA/QC procedures for large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency in using construction management software and digital quality reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction standards (e.g., SANS), and materials testing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence remote teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high productivity in a remote setting.
• Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is advantageous.
