Remote Senior Quality Control Chemist

Our client, a prominent innovator in the specialty chemicals sector, is seeking an experienced and meticulous Remote Senior Quality Control Chemist to join their expanding operations. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office. The role is vital in ensuring the consistent quality and integrity of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products through rigorous analytical testing and method development.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of analytical chemistry techniques, quality control systems, and regulatory compliance within the chemical industry. This position requires a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently in a remote setting.

• Perform a wide range of analytical tests on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods using various instrumental and wet chemistry techniques.
• Develop, validate, and implement new analytical methods in accordance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze test results, identify deviations from specifications, and investigate the root causes of any quality issues.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, including instrument calibration and maintenance logs.
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and relevant industry regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and regulatory affairs teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and other quality-related documentation.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Stay current with advancements in analytical chemistry and quality control methodologies.
• Mentor and guide junior laboratory personnel as needed.

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or analytical chemistry within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Extensive experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, MS, UV-Vis, FTIR, and atomic absorption spectroscopy.
• Proficiency in method development and validation.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and GMP/GLP principles.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings clearly and concisely.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and pharmacopeias.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
