This is a key role within the Corporate Property Team, and reports directly to the Senior Asset Manager. The successful candidate will help with the development and implementation of the Corporate Property Strategy, they will lead major corporate property projects and provide professional and strategic advice to all Council departments. The role will also involve assisting the Head of Property as required, developing and preparing Cabinet reports, Strategies, Policies and engaging with outside Government bodies.
Key Responsibilities- Experience in preparation and presentation of High-level reports and strategy documents.
- Good project management and negotiating skills with experience of dealing with Board level stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate with other professionals, members of the public, other officers.
- Ability to work as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
- Good working knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Law and other legislation relating to estates management duties.
- Extensive practical experience of working as a Chartered Valuation/General Practice Surveyor.
- Previous experience of devising and delivering an Asset Review Programme and of delivering major projects, preferably within local government or other public sector organisations.
- Commitment to the principles of agile working including the ability to work flexibly with regards to both hours of work and location of work including remote and home working as required.
- Takes personal responsibility for delivering an excellent service to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
- Able to work under pressure and on own initiative.
- Essential qualifications: RICS Membership at either MRICS or FRICS level DBS Check: N/A
