Overview
NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership - Specialist Estates Services (NWSSP-SES) is an organisation committed to championing patient centred sustainable healthcare environments. We achieve this by providing professional and technical estates related services to the Department for Health and Social Services at the Welsh Government and NHS Wales. This opportunity is within the Property function which provides a broad range of property support through a team of chartered property surveyors.

Cardiff Based – Property Surveyor (Primary Care)
£46,840 to £53,601 per annum (pa)
Full time – 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid working model; part-time may be possible.

Property Surveyor (Primary Care)
- Provide property support and advice on the primary care estate to Health Boards in Wales.
- Advise Health Boards on the reimbursement of rent to GP practices.
- Assist in the improvement of GP premises and support the development of new primary care schemes.
- Provide advice on wider property management issues relating to the primary care estate.
- Undertake inspections, rental valuations, rent reviews and related lease advisory work focused on GP rental reimbursement.
- Be a Chartered Surveyor with detailed knowledge and experience of valuations, rent reviews, property development processes, land transactions and lease management.
Full-time is preferable; however, statements on part-time flexibility and agile/hybrid working apply.
Qualifications and Experience- Chartered Surveyor and a corporate member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors OR have specialist estates/property knowledge and understanding gained through qualification, training and experience equivalent to Masters level.
- A degree/diploma in estate/property management.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Essential experience: post-qualification experience in a property/estates environment, including valuations, rent reviews, development projects, disposals & acquisitions and commercial lease management.
- Desirable experience: NHS or public sector experience; rental and valuation advice for GP premises.
- Ability to interpret complex property issues and advise non-technical personnel.
- Ability to work effectively in a team with a collaborative approach.
- Desirable: computer literacy for word processing and spreadsheets.
- Ability to travel to locations throughout Wales to undertake duties.
