JRV Surveys & Valuations is a well-established, independent RICS regulated practice specialising in residential home surveys and valuations across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a qualified residential surveyor and valuer to join our team.

This role would suit an Assoc

RICS or MRICS surveyor with at least one year of post-qualification experience completing RICS Home Surveys and residential valuations who is looking for a stable, well supported role with flexibility and autonomy.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out RICS Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys and residential valuations, managing your own inspection diary and producing clear, well-written reports. Inspections will be across Greater Manchester. Report writing and administration can be completed from home, with the option to use our Altrincham office if preferred.

What We Are Looking For
  • Assoc

RICS or MRICS qualified surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer.
  • Minimum of one year experience completing residential surveys and valuations.
  • Strong report writing skills with a clear, practical communication style.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using modern survey software and systems.
  • Ability to manage workload independently while maintaining high standards.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Why Join JRV Surveys & Valuations?

We are a small, growing independent practice where quality and professionalism are prioritised over volume. Surveyors are trusted to manage their own workload without micromanagement or unrealistic inspection targets. Reports are given the time they need to be done properly, and support is always available when required.

You will not be working in a call‑centre style environment or under corporate pressure to rush inspections. Instead, we focus on delivering thorough, photograph‑led reports and clear advice to clients, which is reflected in our strong client feedback and repeat work.

This role offers genuine flexibility, sensible workloads and the opportunity to be part of a growing practice where your contribution is visible and valued.

What We Offer
  • Basic salary in the region of £50,000 depending on experience.
  • Commission structure.
  • Employer pension contribution.
  • CPD fully supported.
  • Home working with optional office base in Altrincham.
  • Sensible workloads and realistic inspection scheduling.
  • Supportive, professional working environment within a growing practice.

We place a strong emphasis on clear advice, high-quality reporting and a sensible work-life balance. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated surveyor looking to join a respected independent firm without corporate pressure or unrealistic targets.
