About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic Property Development Manager to oversee projects in the vibrant region of George . This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of property development, from initial feasibility studies and land acquisition to planning, construction, and final handover. You will be instrumental in identifying lucrative development opportunities, managing budgets, coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of development finance, zoning regulations, and construction management, contributing to innovative and sustainable property solutions in the Western Cape.
- Identify and evaluate potential new property development sites and opportunities.
- Manage all phases of the development process, including feasibility, design, entitlements, and construction.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure financial viability and timely completion.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and project quality.
- Secure necessary permits and approvals, navigating local planning and zoning laws in George .
- Oversee the marketing and sales strategy for completed developments.
- Bachelor's degree in Property Development, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in property development and project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex development projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, contract negotiation, and financial modeling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of the Western Cape property market and development regulations.
