Assistant Investigator, Proteomics – Allen Institute for Brain Science
The mission of the Allen Institute is to understand the principles that govern life and to advance health. Our teams focus on answering fundamental questions in bioscience, accelerating research, developing tools, and sharing knowledge broadly to impact the world.
The Allen Institute for Brain Science aims to understand how the human brain functions in health and disease through large-scale projects creating comprehensive datasets and tools, and disseminating findings to the neuroscience community.
We seek an exceptional individual to lead efforts in the Proteomics Initiative, focusing on affinity reagents development and characterization of cell-type specific protein composition and localization. This role bridges genomic/transcriptomic data with brain structure/function, providing insights into molecular mechanisms of brain circuits.
The candidate should have a strong background in proteomics or protein science, preferably in neuroscience, with a proven publication record and experience in securing funding. The ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively is essential, along with alignment to the Institute's open and team science approach.
We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. We are an equal-opportunity employer and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
