Job SummaryThe Center for Work, Health, and Well‑Being conducts research and disseminates practices, policies, and programs that protect and promote worker safety, health, and well‑being. The Research Assistant reports directly to the Center Asst. Director and provides a range of research and administrative support, including literature searches, manuscript development, grant proposal assistance, website and social media maintenance, and data collection and analysis.
Responsibilities- Collect and analyze qualitative data as part of translational research projects.
- Coordinate Zoom meetings with collaborators and schedule Center meetings.
- Assist in the design, production, and dissemination of educational and outreach materials for the Center’s website and e‑newsletter.
- Update social media accounts (e.g., Linked In) and the Center website.
- Support non‑academic overviews of research study findings; develop abstracts, proposals, posters, and presentations.
- Manage project data acquisition, coding, and analysis according to established protocols.
- Summarize data and draft reports of results; provide periodic status reports to supervisors.
- Perform administrative duties related to research tasks and preparation for Center meetings and seminars.
- Assist with PowerPoint presentation design and formatting for conferences and webinars.
- Prepare and submit manuscripts, Center reports, and other dissemination materials.
- Manage communication with community and academic collaborators; maintain information in the Center‑wide process tracking system.
- Arrange travel and process reimbursement of travel and other expenses, including honoraria.
- Contribute to the development of proposals for additional years of funding, coordinating the collection of supporting documents and scheduling meetings with Center advisors.
- Basic: 2+ years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Additional:
- Experience in an academic research center or other academic setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe programs, Canva, Word Press, Emma (Harvard), and Qualtrics.
- Strong verbal, written, editing, and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to represent the Center in collaborations.
- Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills; ability to balance multiple tasks remotely.
- Team player who can work independently and adapt to new skills as needed.
- Comfortable with remote work and occasional on‑site meetings; minimal supervision.

Term appointment through August 31 2026, with possibility of extension. Part‑time, 17.5 hour work week. Primarily remote with occasional in‑person meetings. Harvard University does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
