Job Description AndPosition Requirements
Dr. Timothy Brearly’s lab is offering a Part‑Time Research Support (Software Development) position. The role will provide opportunities to apply and grow computer science skills through the development of data flows and automations required for research and quality improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines and automation tools to support research projects.
- Integrating solutions with platforms such as Microsoft 365 and electronic health record systems (e.g., EPIC).
- Collaborating with research staff on data‑management and quality‑improvement initiatives.
- Communicating asynchronously and in video conferences as needed.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with JavaScript and Python.
- Interest in developing solutions that interface with Microsoft 365 and major EHR systems.
- Current or completing a degree in computer science or related field (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort with asynchronous and video conference communication.

Location:
Harrisburg, PA – Salary: $55,000.00–$60,000.00 (subject to offer).
