To assist with research projects, data analysis, and laboratory tasks under the guidance of Dr. Nechaev, enabling students to gain practical and theoretical experience in laboratory and computational methods.
Duties & Responsibilities- Tasks may include literature research, bioinformatics analysis of own and published omics datasets, and on‑the‑bench experiments involving DNA and RNA purification and characterization
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Willingness to learn laboratory techniques and follow safe lab practices.
- Able to dedicate up to 19 hours per week to the lab
- Able to learn bioinformatics or learn advanced molecular biology techniques
- Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with bench work including micro pipetting and/or mammalian cell culture, or bioinformatics/computer programming
