NASDA Part Time Field Enumerator Western Nebraska

National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is hiring a part-time Field Enumerator in the Nebraska Panhandle area. This position involves conducting agricultural interviews and setting up sample field plots, with opportunities to work on a variety of assignments.

• Conduct in-person and telephone interviews to gather information from livestock and crop entities of all sizes.
• Support projects such as Farm and Ranch Resource Management (winter/spring) and studies of farm activity on selected acres (summer) and crop counts in corn and soybean fields (fall).
• Interview operations require time management, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
• Travel within local area and occasional travel for training as needed.

• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Knowledge of computers or iPads; ability to use mobile devices for data collection.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
• Able to walk unassisted on uneven ground up to 100 yards.
• Able to travel up to 250 miles on a quarterly basis for training.

• Employment type:
  
  Part-time.
• Hourly wage starts at $17.84+ per hour; supplies provided and mileage reimbursement.
• Continued training provided for all assignments.

• Flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends, as needed.
