Description

The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities for postdoctoral scientists. Fellowships span one to three years and support research at NASA centers, headquarters, or affiliated institutes. The current call invites proposals focused on planetary surfaces investigated via near‑infrared remote sensing or model‑based studies of impact cratering.

  • Current projects: analysis of lunar spectral data; lunar surface stratigraphy using high‑resolution images; crater ejecta and melt modeling; small‑body geology; geologic mapping; integration of infrared, optical, topographic, radar, and numerical data.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in planetary science, geology, physics, engineering, or related field.
  • U.S. Citizens; U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents; foreign nationals eligible for a J‑1 visa; or applicants for LPR, asylees, or refugees in the U.S. with a valid EAD card and pending I‑485 or I‑589 forms.
