Postdoctoral Scholar – Public Health Sciences
The Department of Public Health Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to help develop and apply statistical genomic methods to analyze multi‑omics data for understanding complex disease etiology and to develop novel statistical models for electronic health record data.
Position SpecificsThis is a term position. The length of the term will be discussed during the interview process and continuation beyond the term length will be based on university needs, performance, and availability of funding.

- Ph.D. in statistics/biostatistics, computer science, bioinformatics, or a related discipline.
- Strong research background and experience in statistical genomics, machine/deep learning, or bioinformatics methods for omics data.
- Excellent programming, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Review literature and design methods.
- Implement statistical models and analyze multi‑omics and EHR data.
- Summarize study results and draft manuscripts.
- Collaborate with the research team and present findings at scientific conferences.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background checks in accordance with University policies.
