Chemistry Expert - AI Tutor

Join a pioneering AI research team working on next-generation Generative AI models from the ground up. We're looking for experienced Chemistry Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to bring deep domain expertise and elevate the quality of AI training data. This fully remote and flexible opportunity allows you to collaborate directly with leading AI researchers to shape the foundation of intelligent systems.

• Collaborate with AI research teams to improve model understanding and reasoning in the Chemistry domain.
• Create and maintain annotation standards specific to Chemistry, ensuring precision and consistency.
• Develop rubrics, evaluation frameworks, and guidelines to assess AI reasoning and task performance.
• Design complex, domain-relevant Chemistry tasks and provide accurate, well-structured solutions.
• Review and evaluate Chemistry tasks, offering clear and constructive feedback to enhance data quality.
• Work with other Chemistry experts to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality outputs across projects.

• Location: Based in the United States
• Education: M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry
• Experience: At least 2+ years of professional or research experience in Chemistry, ideally at a reputable institution.
• Preferred Sub-Domains: Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cheminformatics & Data Science, or Quantum Chemistry.
• AI Familiarity: Understanding of or exposure to AI-related workflows is a plus.
• Commitment: ~40 hours/week (minimum of ~20 hours/week). Participation in calibration calls with research teams 2–5 times per week.

• Pay Rate: $70–$80 per hour
• Duration: Long-term engagement (6–12 months)
