Description:
The successful candidate is expected to make significant contributions to this project under the close supervision of Dr. Fan, engaging in a variety of tasks. Within the lab, these tasks involve fabricating micro patterns, isolating cells from animal brains, maintaining cell cultures, conducting biochemical assays to assess the structural and physiological changes of cells, performing immunofluorescence and microscopy, as well as collecting and analyzing data.
Beyond the lab, the student will contribute by conducting literature reviews, participating in weekly reports and discussions, and assisting with the drafting of manuscripts.
The candidate must be a current undergraduate at U-M Dearborn with experience in biological research, including cell culture, micropatterning, immunofluorescence, imaging, and performing data analysis. The candidate is expected to be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
