Join Harbor as a Legal Research Analyst and work remotely from anywhere in Canada. Conduct in-depth legal research and support law firms with your expertise.
This full-time position within Harbor's Library + Research department focuses on providing legal research support to law firm clients. You will conduct sophisticated research and streamline processes using advanced electronic tools and resources. Your ability to evaluate the reliability of information sources will play a crucial role in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute comprehensive legal and business research tasks
• Provide precise and clear reports based on findings
• Evaluate information sources for effectiveness and cost
• Train attorneys on legal research tools and techniques
• Efficiently manage research requests with tracking software
Requirements:
• MLS or comparable research experience mandatory
• 3-5 years in legal or academic research settings
• Familiarity with Lexis, Westlaw, and modern databases
• Strong Microsoft Office skills required
• Excellent communication and time management abilities
