Role Description
Department
The University of York's Department of Computer Science is seeking to recruit a Research Associate. This post is for work in the context of an European project called Robo Sapiens, whose focus is on autonomous robotic software adaptations. RoboSAPIENS is laying the foundations for ensuring that such adaptations are carried out in an intrinsically safe, trustworthy and efficient manner, thereby reconciling open-ended self-adaptation with trustworthiness by design.
The research work will involve use and extension of Robo Star technology to design and verify applications of interest to our European partners. The post holder will be an expert in Robo Star technology, AI, and automated verification techniques.
Role
The research work will involve validation and application of Robo Star technology developed in the context of Robo Sapiens to design and verify applications of interest to our European partners. The post holder will be an expert in Robo Star technology, and automated verification techniques. The work will produce key artefacts for the applications, and written material to be used in project deliverables and papers.
Skills, Experience & Qualification Needed
A strong mathematical background and familiarity with Robo Star framework and tools.
