Position
Student Research Assistant (20 %) – fixed‑term, 20 %, Bern
About the LabThe Psychology of Digitalisation lab investigates how digitalisation shapes human behaviour, cognition, and well‑being and how science itself can be made more reliable and transparent in a digital age. Its research spans three core areas: the effects and use of technology and media, usable security and privacy, and meta‑science, including work on the reliability and robustness of psychological research, open science practices, and the development of tools to detect and prevent errors in the scientific literature.
Responsibilities- Literature search for research and teaching purposes
- Assistance in the preparation and follow‑up of teaching sessions
- Support in data collection and data analysis using R
- Support in publication of research projects (preparing manuscripts, posters)
- Support with the organization and administration of teaching and research activities
- Enrolled in a Bachelor or Master programme (ideally in Psychology at the University of Bern)
- Interest in the research topics of the Psychology of Digitalisation lab
- Confident handling of statistical software (e.g., R/RStudio)
- Openness to learn new methodological and statistical approaches
- Engaged, reliable personality with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and a high degree of initiative
- Good organisational and planning skills, as well as strong communication skills in English
- Located in Bern, Switzerland
- 6‑month contract with the possibility for extension
- Collaboration with researchers in the conception, implementation, and evaluation of psychological research projects with the Psychology of Digitalisation lab
