Offer Description
The research will focus on numerical modeling of materials, elements, and structures representative of existing and historical masonry construction, to refinepractical methods for their seismic safety assessment,with special emphasis on building aggregates peculiar of historical centers. It will also cover the numericalvalidation of retrofit techniques for masonry walls, floordiaphragms, roof structures and connections, including the application of composite materials or timbercomponents.

The selections are open to candidates, Italian or foreigner, in possession, on the date of the deadline for submitting applications for the admission to the selection, of a research doctorate (PhD) or equivalent qualification obtained abroad, or, for the sectors concerned, a medical specialization qualification. The educational qualification has to concern the research theme.
